My Way
Set during World War II, My Way is loosely based on the true story of Yang Kyoungjong, a young Korean conscripted into the Japanese Army to fight against the Russians. Yang was captured by the Russians and wound up forced into one of the penal battalians (forces made up of prisoners) to fight against the Germans. Captured by the Germans, Yang was forced into the "Eastern Brigade" (similar to the Russian penal forces) to fight against Western Alliance forces. Yang was again captured, this time by US paratroopers in Northern France. Yang was sent to a British prison camp, and eventually ended up in the United States. He settled in Illinois after the war.
I really enjoyed this film. Lots of action, bloody battles, and a good story line.
