Northern Limit Line
The Northern Limit Line is considered by South Korea to be the maritime boundary between North and South Korea. This boundary is disputed by North Korea which states that the boundary is farther south.
On June 29th, 2002, two North Korean patrol Boats crossed the demarcation line and were warned off by South Korean patrol boats. Approximately three miles south of the line, the North Korean patrol boats attacked the South Korean patrol. By the end of the engagement six South Korean Naval personnel were dead, and eighteen wounded - thirteen North Korean personnel were dead and twenty five wounded.
This movie tells the story of the engagement from the South Korean perspective, showing the days leading up to the battle while the 2002 World Cup soccer matches played out.
A good movie that shows the results of what happens when two countries are constantly poised on a knife's edge.
